Dear Friends of the Global Social Business Summit,

I always felt amazed at the limitless power of sport.

It is powerful because it is basic to human nature.
Where there is power there is always a chance to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.

- Healthy lifestyle?
- Competition?
- Social inclusion?

Let me explain to you the connection between sports and social business, and their combined power to create sustainable positive change towards building a new civilization.
Together with my creative advisor Hans Reitz and Yoan Noguier we have put our efforts into one and founded the Yunus Sports Hub in May 2018.

“Sport has a tremendous power – how can we use this power to solve people’s problem?”

says Yoan Noguier, Director of Yunus Sports Hub.
This is the guiding question of our newly established organization.

As social business and sport expert, Yunus Sports Hub helps organizations, whether they are sports-related or not, to drive positive change in the society thanks to the power of sport and social business:

- We design and run ambitious social business and sports programs
- We connect the social business and the sport worlds in best-in-class events
- We support social businesses in link with sport

Therefore, during the Global Social Business Summit 2018 the topic of sports and social business will be part of a panel discussion where we will focus on presenting existing sport and social business initiatives. The panelists are happy to share their ideas and actions on how it is possible to tackle poverty with sport and social business. Each of them will focus on talking about opportunities related to their particular level of engagement and expertise.

We are proud to share with you our success! On May 23rd 2018, we signed with Paris 2024, Solideo and Les Canaux an agreement to lay the foundation of the Impact 2024, a program that aims at putting social business at the very heart of the planning, delivery and holding of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
The program, co-designed and co-delivered by Yunus Sports Hub and Les Canaux, Maison des économies solidaires et innovantes will inform, mobilize and accelerate social businesses so that they can directly benefit from the economic opportunities related to the Games.

One of Yunus Sports Hub’s responsibility will be to create an actual Sport World of Three Zeros: Zero poverty, Zero unemployment and Zero net carbon emission.
Let us make the sports world a fertile ground for Social Business to flourish and Social Business a trigger to unleash the social potential of sports in a sustainable way. Join the GSBS 2018 on November 8th & 9th in Wolfsburg to share your knowledge and ideas with us.
